1. Assign a Dance Captain– Not everyone will listen to the choreographer in one go. Pick one enthusiastic person per group to make sure everyone joins on time and practices. A designated point of contact is always an easier way for better coordination to plan the sessions.
2. Share a Mirror-Image Version of the Video – People often get confused watching the instructor face-to-camera. Record and share a mirrored version so dancers don’t have to guess left vs. right. This way it feels like you’re standing in front of them!
3. Add Subtitles in your Reference Videos– This will help anyone who misses the rehearsal. They can easily refer to the video with instructions and stay on the same page as everyone else.
4. Use Music Cues, Not Just Counts– Instead of only saying “5-6-7-8,” cue dancers with lyrics like: “Start when the line ‘Tera Hone Laga Hoon’ begins.”
Music + lyric based cues make syncing across devices much easier.
5. Use Visual Aids Like Formation Diagrams– Create simple stick-figure diagrams or slides that show:
- Where each person stands
- Entry points & exits
- Final pose placement
